Health,socialcare and technological interventions to improve functional ability of older adults living at home

An evidence and gap map has been published with the aim to identify published evidence of health and social support services and assistive devices to support functional ability among older community-dwelling adults.

By 2030, the global population of people older than 60 years is expected tobe higher than the number of children under 10 years, resulting in major health and socialcare system implications worldwide. Without a supportive environment, whether social orbuilt, diminished functional ability may arise inolder people. Functional ability comprisesan individual’s intrinsic capacity and people’sinteraction with their environment enablingthem to be and do what they value.
